Springgrow -Innovative Plant Support System

Springgrow is the brainchild of Callum Hughes and Terry Milton. 

Developed over the past 12 months Springgrow was designed with the assistance of 4design a Queenstown based company, which saw a considerable amount of Research and Development to hone the materials and specifications. 

We believe that the finished product is a great product that will revolutionise the way climbing vines and bines are supported through their growth stages.  

We are intent on taking this product globally and believe that with the recent pandemic the general public will entertain a paradigm shift in terms of growing food at home.  

This product is perfect for glass houses and Tunnel houses and with a purpose built simple trellis erected this will allow the product to be top hung and used in any open area.  It can also be hooked onto a nail or rod fixed to a fence with plants grown along a fence line. 

One of the criteria was to have a reusable product that can last many years and a product that holds its shape when stretched.  This has been achieved.  Springgrow is resistant to UV light and rotting and is simple to erect.  

Tomatoes and vines grow in a helical shape and hence the spring uses a helical design to facilitate the natural growth of these plants. 

Springrow hit the Market in October 2019 through a number of Mitre10 Mega stores Nationwide, but there is a lot of work to do.
